Susan is survived by her daughter, Judith Elerick and spouse Scott Elerick of Safety Harbor, Florida, her grandchildren Lazer Elerick of Chicago, IL, and Rebecca Remmerswaal and spouse Ben Remmerswaal of Winnipeg, Canada, great grandchildren Maybel and Faye Remmerswaal, her sister Tricia Maddrey and spouse, Bill Maddrey, sister Bonnie Warford and partner, Emily Plauche’, her brother, Chris Warford and spouse Tricia Warford, all of Charlotte, NC, her brother in law, Edgar Winter and spouse Monique Winter of Beverly Hills, California, niece Kelly Whitin, and Kylie Warford, nephews Gray and Vaughn Maddrey, Quinn and Liam Warford, Will Whitin, and Eric Whitin and spouse Kim Whitin, cousin Michelle Shlafman and spouse Tal Shlafman, and pets Sophie and Olive. Susan’s generous and kind spirit will be missed. Susan had a soft spot for cats and always adopted senior felines. She had a smile that lit up the room. Susan volunteered as a candy striper in her youth and also volunteered at her church in New York City. Susan had a witty sense of humor and was intimidating to play at any card or word game. Susan spent her youth in Miami, Florida before moving to New York City in 1971. She was the oldest of twins born on February 16, 1950. Susan was born in Tampa, Florida to Earl Fleetwood Warford and Aileen Sayers Warford. Susan passed away due to metastatic lung cancer.
